CONTEST RULES

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MUST BE A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF 10/29/07. Void in Puerto Rico, Guam, United States Virgin Islands, other U.S. Territories, and where prohibited by law. Employees, officers, and directors of Alberto-Culver USA, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and any of its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion or production agencies and each of their respective dependents (as defined by the IRS), immediate family members (spouse, parents, in-laws, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren) and individuals residing in their same household (whether or not related) are not eligible to participate. By participating, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to abide and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final, binding, and conclusive in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prizes. The Road to Naturally Beautiful Hair Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) starts at 12:01:00 AM Central Time on October 29, 2007 and ends at 5:00:00 PM Central Time on November 30, 2007 (“Sweepstakes Period”). The Web Site’s (defined below) database clock will be the official timekeeper for this Promotion.

2. Two ways to enter the Sweepstakes: 1) Visit www.SoftandBeautifulHair.com (“Web Site”) to complete and submit an online entry form during the Sweepstakes Period. Online entry requires submission of the UPC found on the package of any one Soft & Beautiful Botanicals product; or 2) To enter without a purchase or UPC, send a hand-printed piece of paper in a 1st class stamped envelope with name, age, address, day and evening telephone numbers and email address, if email address is available, to: Road to Naturally Beautiful Hair Sweepstakes, 14241 Coursey Blvd, Suite A-12, #225, Baton Rouge, LA 70817. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, REGARDLESS OF METHOD OF ENTRY. All mailed entries must be postmarked by November 30, 2007, and received by December 7, 2007. All online entries must be received by Sponsor during the Sweepstakes Period. Entries that do not contain all of the required information will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any incomplete, mutilated, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or postage-due entries, whether caused by Sponsor, an entrant, or by human error. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entry information may be used by the Sponsor for marketing purposes. Online entry must be made by the entrant, only at the Web Site. Online entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other web site or e-mail address, including, without limitation, commercial sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Promotion. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited. No illegible, incomplete, forged, altered, software-generated, or other automated multiple entries will be accepted.

PRIZES: GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. Grand Prize consists of a diamond pendant. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $500. FIRST PRIZE: One (1) First Prize will be awarded. The First Prize consists of a (1) MP3 player. ARV: $79.99 SECOND PRIZE: Five (5) Second Prizes will be awarded. Each Second Prize consists of a Soft & Beautiful® Botanicals™ Product basket, containing one. ARV: $50. Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $829.99. Odds of winning a prize depend on number of eligible entries received. All prize details not specifically stated in these Official Rules will be determined at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All expenses not specified in these Official Rules, are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded.

3. DRAWING: Prizes will be awarded in a random drawing by Sponsor’s designated judges on or about December 12, 2007, from among all valid entries received by Sponsor, to determine one (1) grand prize winner, one (1) first prize winner, and five (5) second prize winners. Winners will be contacted by telephone or email, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, on or about December 15, 2007.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. All federal, state, and local taxes, if any, are the winners’ sole responsibility. No substitution, cash redemption, transfer or assignment of prizes permitted, except in Sponsor’s sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes with prizes of equal or greater value if prizes stated in these Official Rules are unavailable. Each prize winner (where permitted) may be required (in Sponsor’s sole discretion) to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity and liability release. Affidavits and releases must be properly executed and returned according to Sponsor’s instructions within 15 days after mailing or prize will be forfeited and another winner may be selected. All prize claims, affidavits of eligibility, and liability/publicity releases are subject to verification by Sponsor. If winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, if prize notification or other Sweepstakes communication is rejected or returned as undeliverable, or if a winner cannot be reached after a reasonable attempt has been made by Sponsor (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion), then prize will be forfeited and another winner may be selected. Acceptance of prize constitutes each winner’s permission to use winner’s name, biographical information, picture, likeness, voice, and/or any information contained in their entry, for advertising, promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes, by Sponsor, its promotional partners, and third party marketing entities, in all media, throughout the world, without additional compensation, notice, review, or permission, except where prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any of the following, whether caused by Sponsor, an entrant, by human error, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes: viruses or other malicious code; technical, mechanical, hardware, software, cable, or telephone failures or malfunctions of any kind; lost or unavailable network or telephone connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, or delayed electronic communications or entry information; error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission or communication; interrupted or unavailable cable or satellite systems; errors, typos, or misprints in these official rules, in any Sweepstakes-related advertisements or other materials.

5. Requests must be received no later than three (3) months following the end of the Sweepstakes Period . 6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Each entrant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold Sponsor and its ADVERTISING, PROMOTION, AND PUBLIC RELATIONS agencies and each of their respective parents, divisions, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, employees, representatives, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes harmless from any and all liability whatsoever with respect to or in any way arising from this Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or awarding of the prizes, or participation in, preparing for, or traveling to or from any prize- or Sweepstakes-related activity, including, without limitation, liability for any injury, death, damages, accident, or loss to person or property. EACH WINNER AGREES THAT THE PRIZE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, WHETHER NOW KNOWN OR HEREINAFTER ENACTED, RELATIVE TO THE USE OR ENJOYMENT OF THE PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ITS QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. 7. GENERAL RULES: Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has violated these Official Rules. Participants further agree to not damage or cause interruption of the Sweepstakes and/or prevent others from using the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void entries of any entrants who Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes. If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and award the prizes from among entries received prior to or after the date of the cancellation, modification, or suspension. Any person who supplies false information, obtains entries by fraudulent means, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these official rules in an attempt to obtain any prize will forfeit any prize won and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. In the event of a dispute concerning who submitted an entry via the internet, the entry will be declared to have been made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry, but only if that person meets all other eligibility criteria. An authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE SERVICE OR WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE PROMOTION VIOLATES CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, SPONSOR MAY DISQUALIFY ANY PARTICIPANT MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT AND MAY SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
